mmm optical

no progress on the 2.4 ghz radio units (havent touched them yet, need to get the electronics PC working)

however optical is showing some decent progress ;->
had a 20W fluro pointed directly at the reciever from 1M and it rx'd low speed data with no noticible effect, putting a hand 10cm in front of Tx and seperating rx by 4 meters had some impact but a 3x sampling would still read it out ok

no RFI in optical mmmmmmm
small hitch for the users of cheap digicams though, they are sensitive to IR so it shows up *really* well.

Couldnt be bothered sighning up at the moment .

Jake how did you get the ibc to work with no conection between it and the ibc wouldn't you still need the servo signl wire conection or did you use some sort of optical signal transmiter / reciever set up between it ? ..im guesing thats what you mean by opticaly isolating it.
Also we use small radio caps on our motors one on each motor lead and the two ends soldered to the moor case als twisting your power leads helps some times in bad cases some people use smal ferit collars on the wires as well .Ive found just adding the caps is emough .
